Chinta Manis is a Peranakan Patisserie which specialises in handmade nyonya kuehs. They have several outlets in Singapore and I quite like their kuehs which are 100% handmade.
Do you know Chinta Manis offers local savoury food as well? The outlet at MyVillage in Serangoon Garden does. Here are some of the items I tried:
Economically priced Peranakan cuisines are hard to come by because of the labour intensive preparation for Peranakan food. The food at Chinta Manis was quite good and reasonably priced.
I particularly enjoyed the Nasi Peranakan dish. The chicken rendang was rich and flavourful, blending well with the kunyit rice.
