Duke Bakery is a retailer of Japanese European style artisan bread with Taiwan origin. They opened their first store in Singapore at United Square recently.
The store always draw a large crowd since opening. Somehow, Taiwanese food retailers are amazing at creating food trend in Singapore like the bubble tea craze.
The artisan bakers at Duke Bakery incorporated the Japanese style of light and soft bread, with the traditional European style of using yeast from fermented fruits and other ingredients.
Rachel and I bought our first two loaves of bread from Duke Bakery when they were having a 20% discount storewide. What I like about the store is that tasting samples are available for all the bread that are being sold.
The taste is really good.
I get to try out all the interesting flavours, ranging from red wine to fig to chocolate cheese, before I decide on which to buy home.
Subsequently, we went back and bought more bread till we were given a member card with no expiry date that entails us to a 10% discount for all purchases.
The bread are all baked and sold fresh daily. They sell out quite fast, hence to avoid disappointment on variety, be there before late noon when the full range of over 60 breads are available.
