Uncle Louis Cafe 899 (煮炒来咯!) @ Woodlands

Uncle Louis Cafe 899 (煮炒来咯!)

Uncle Louis Cafe 899 (煮炒来咯!) is a zi char restaurant Rachel and I discovered recently with my friends, Mark and Meiyen.

They have baby chairs and we brought our kids there for a dinner together. The bill came to around S$60+. Pretty reasonable for four pax, considering the amount we ordered:

Volcano basket
Butter pork rib
Fish maw soup
Cai Por (preserved sweet turnip) egg
Fried rice vermicelli for Rachel
Large plate of egg noodle for Mark

Their signature dish is “Volcano Basket”, fried fish cake and tofu, shaped like a volcano, with an assortment of seafood and vegetable toppings. We tried it and find it worth ordering.

They serve a good variety of seafood and crab dishes too, but we decided not to order those as it will be very messy to eat when we have two babies to tend to.

If you are interested to visit, the stall’s details are as below:
