Singapore, 23 May 2012 – omy.sg, Singapore’s leading bilingual news and entertainment portal and Chinese evening daily Lianhe Wanbao have launched Singapore’s first “Mobile News Magazine App” on Android Google Play store.

The mobile news magazine app called “Vice Ring Probe” (《新闻大事件系列~名人嫖雏妓案》), will present a complete picture of the recent news on the Singapore online vice ring in an easy-to-read news magazine format for the mobile smartphone platform.

The app is targeted at busy executives and young Singaporeans who are interested to find out more about the hottest news in Singapore, but do not have the patience nor time to follow the news on a daily basis. It will carry all the news reports in Lianhe Wanbao related to the online vice ring breaking news from 16 April 2012.

Besides news articles, the app will also feature photo and video galleries aggregated from omy.sg, as well as exclusive multimedia content, which is only available in this app.

Chua Chim Kang, Editor of omy.sg and Lianhe Wanbao, said: “This is a natural, innovative product extension of Lianhe Wanbao and omy.sg, to bring you the best in news stories from both the traditional print and digital media. If you prefer to read the particular news topic in a complete format, this app is tailored just for you.”

Content highlights include:

– Complete archive of news stories related to the online vice ring from Lianhe Wanbao and omy.sg

– Latest profile summaries of the 48 charged male suspects
– An exclusive video interview with female bloggers on the social escort scene in Singapore
