In a chance phone call to an old friend, Takahan two weeks ago, I found out Cosfest X.2 was being held last weekend on 25 and 26 Feb.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of Cosfest and there were many special programs lined up, including appearances by overseas cosplayers, well-known to the cosplay community.  Kudos to Stephanie and Takahan from the Singapore Cosplay Club for a job well done and growing Cosfest bigger and better each year over the last ten years.

Cosfest X.2 at Downtown East

It has been a while since I last attended any cosplay event. Cosfest was my induction into the world of cosplay. I have blogged about Cosfest in 2007, 2008 and 2009, but missed the event for the last two years.

With a new Canon 60D and a Nikon 1 J1, I was eager to test my gears. Hence on Sunday (26 Feb), I set off to Downtown East to attend the event.

The world of manga and anime has moved on a fair bit, following my two years hiatus. Nowadays, I can only recognise less than 10 percent of the characters being cosplayed. Please pardon my random captioning below as I do not know most of the characters:

Check out the official Singapore Cosplay Club website and forum for updates on other cosplay events happening in Singapore throughout the year. 🙂
