Mang Kiko’s Lechon @ Youth Park Somerset

Rachel and I tried out a Filipino food stall at Somerset Youth Park recently. Mang Kiko’s Lechon currently has two outlets in Singapore, the other one is located at Lau Pa Sat.

Mang Kiko's Lechon

With a growing population of Filipino working and living in Singapore, it is no surprise that more of such Filipino eateries are sprouting.

The only other Filipino restaurant we have ate at was Kabayan at Lucky Plaza. We enjoyed the food there and was game to try out more Filipino cuisines.

It was a pity that we arrived rather late and the only item available was the pot belly set.

We ordered the last slab of pork belly on the roaster

The serving of pork belly was very generous. In fact, I think you can order a set and add another serving of rice to share between two person instead of getting two sets.

Mang Kiko's Pork Belly Set

There are two condiments served with the set, a green spicy sauce and a sweet barbecue sauce. I prefer the first.

The pork belly is crunchy at the top and juicy to sink your teeth into. We quite enjoyed the meal, but would be more satisfied if they can add some greens to their set, beyond just meat and rice.

Price-wise, each set cost a standard $6. We would visit again to try out some of the other items on their menu.
