Alvinology’s family reunion dinner (团圆饭) 2009

For our Chinese New Year reunion dinner this year, my family headed down to Pu Tien Restaurant (莆田菜馆) at Kitchener Road. The restaurant serves Heng Hwa (兴化) cuisine, which btw, is my dialect group for those who don’t know. 🙂

Pu Tien has always been my family’s favourite restaurant and in fact, we have been visiting it long before the restaurant became famous recently, opening up many branches in Singapore. My parents are quite chummy with the restaurant boss and senior waitresses, which explains why they made special arrangement for us to have the compartmental table in a quieter corner, amidst the Chinese New Year crowd.

If you are interested to try out quality Heng Hwa cuisine, do visit Pu Tien. The price is quite reasonable compared to most other Chinese restaurants and the dishes are unique; a refreshing change from the usual Cantonese fares Singaporeans are used to. Details as below:
