Halloween Horrors at Night Safari

This Halloween the Singapore Night Safari has a closet full of scares awaiting visitors, as it transforms into a giant ‘Haunted Forest’ with spooks at every corner. Over four weekends, from 10 October to 1 November 2008, the entire park will be Halloween themed, with activities running mainly on Fridays and Saturdays.

I had the privilege of going down to experience the event last Friday, on the first night, together with twenty lucky bloggers and the omy editorial team. 🙂

We were treated to hop onto the “Train of Terror” tram ride, operated specially for Halloween. Initially, I thought it will just be senseless costume ghosts jumping out to scare the wits out of everyone; instead, I was pleasantly surprised that the folks at the Night Safari managed to weaved in a moral and educational narrative into the scares.

There are also many random costumed ghosts walking around the park, out to haunt you. Their acting is quite convincing and professional. Some of the bloggers tried to lure them to laugh by joking with them, but to no avail as they are too into their characters.

Here are some photos to share:

  • It wasn't for me. :) I don't think it was scary for most people too. Yeah, there were frights here and there, but overall it was a fun experience as everyone knows it's staged mah.
