Rachel and I were eager to try out The Ship restaurant which has been around in Singapore since 1977. The restaurant at Nex is their second, with the main restaurant located at Shaw Centre.
The food was average at the Nex branch. I find it overpriced for dinner. A meal for two came up to around S$70, without drinks and appertisers. If you are looking for a western restaurant in Nex mall, consider going to Hot Tomato instead. The food quality is the same, but at half the price.
To be fair, service was excellent though and the restaurant has a pleasant ambience for small group gathering.
We won’t be visiting again, though we might go dine at their main restaurant at Shaw Centre out of curiosity. They have been in Singapore for over thirty years. The food has to be pretty outstanding in order to survive this long, given our fickle taste buds.

I live nearby and always pass by this restaurant when in NEX. I find their ship theme quite unique (but also a bit tacky). But I have to admit it got me quite curious about it.

Cant agree more. Food was merely edible. The male manager, Mr wang behaves like we owe him his livelihood.what to do. Family run
I agree. Was there for lunch spend $150for 5 person. Find the food not fresh and services was lousy too
