Pair contemporary Indian food with creative cocktails at Saha

A Mexican mojito is a classic, but have you tried an Indian mojito? How about a cyro pomegranate margarita frosted with nitrogen? Or a compressed watermelon martini infused with cigar-smoke?

At Saha Signature Indian Restaurant & Bar, such innovative cocktails are the perfect complement to the impressive array of contemporary Indian tapas on offer.

While the cocktails are the creations of mixologist Farid Bashir, the food is the brainchild of award-winning chef Abijit Saha. Chef Saha’s dishes are modern interpretations of Indian cuisine which marry vibrant flavours and contemporary execution methods. You’ll find dishes which he has created for Singapore, such as Kasoor Methi Seared Foie Gras with spice stewed mango, mango salsa and mango panna foam, as well as Tasting of Mushroom – which is a masala cappuccino, tandoor grilled and frozen masala mushroom parfait powder.

Together with the drinks, a night out at Saha really hit the spot for me.

At Saha, which is opened by the same guys who opened Russian restaurant Buyan on the first floor, there’s even a sommelier on hand to help you select wines to go with your food. Farid, who is also the bar manager of Buyan, envisions a day when the restaurant will be able to recommend food and cocktail pairings.
