Via omy.sg/Lianhe Wanbao. In the news report, a group of supposed female vigilantes were said to have set up a blog – Geylang Checker, to upload and expose photos of Singaporean men allegedly visiting prostitutes in the Geylang red light district.
Here’s what the blog claims to be advocating on their homepage:

Information will also be revealed on where are the favourite parking place for cheating guys.
Er… I have a question: What if the men were just there to eat supper? Besides being a red light district, Geylang is also a place with lots of famous food stalls to satisfy hungry bellies.

These pictures seem like they were extracted from Google Street View. I have 3 reasons for this:
1. The skew on the photo showing the guy with plastic bags seems to be a result of photo-stitching.
2. The faces are also blurred in the same manner as Google Street View.
3. The shots were taken from a relatively tall height, even taller than the men featured. Who will mount a camera on top of a van/lorry and drive around when they can shoot using their DSLR from the comfort of air-con? Only Google does that.
i’m afraid i have to agree with the commenter above. this news piqued my interest but I think this blog is potentially malicious.
The earlier few shots can be replicated on google map, and the august “new” shots seem to be random pictures taken of clueless passers-by.

Geylang is full of nice foods, Why only Geylang? There’s Joo chiat also, Changi village also.
I do hang out at Geylang once in a while, and walk with friends along the brothels to see see.
Does that mean I’m cheating?
